On December 26, 2004 a major earthquake of magnitude 9.0 resulted in mega Tsunami which affected the costal areas of several countries in Asia. Most hard hit was Aceh Province in the North of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. Using the Landsat orbital earth observation satellite we have acquired data on December 29 and assessed the region-wide impact of devastation. Below you will find summary information, results of our analysis, and images.
